Heidi is a General Practitioner with a passion for venous disease and improving the venous
symptoms of her patients. Currently she is undertaking Advanced training in Phlebology. She
works in Hobart for 3 days every month. Heidi studied Law at the University of Tasmania and
enjoys returning to Hobart.
Heidi’s interest in venous disease stems from its complexity and fascinating nature. She enjoys
working collaboratively with patients to achieve improvement in their symptoms. Heidi
performs several treatments including direct vision micro sclerotherapy, ultrasound guided
and sclerotherapy and endovenous laser ablation (not yet available at Laserway on Davey).
Originally from Darwin, Heidi spent several years practicing medicolegal law before pursuing a
career in Medicine. She completed her internship at Royal Darwin Hospital in 2007 and spent
several years working in adult medicine at public hospitals in Adelaide. Heidi has since
obtained her fellowship in specialist General Practice.
When she is not working, Heidi spends time with her children and enjoys running. Although
she loves to run, she admits to struggling when running up cliffs.
